15 hour Seaplane Proficiency Course


Must be a minimum 16 years of age and a holder of an appropriate permit, license or LTPL and valid medical. Proof of requirements must be produced before training commences.

This course is an expanded version of the 7 hour Canadian Seaplane Rating course. It includes an extra 8 hours of proficiency and advanced seaplane techniques. Total of 15 hours of Seaplane Training.

  • - 15 hours of dual instruction including 7 hour Canadian Seaplane Rating
  •     and 3 hours of Preparatory Ground Instruction.
  • - 5 takeoffs and landings as sole occupant of the aeroplane.

  • F.  As conditions exist, operations on glassy water, rough water and in
  •      crosswind conditions.

Note: * Minimum hours are quoted-individual students may require additional time. Canadian Seaplane Rating fee of $30.00 paid by the student directly to Transport Canada. Above prices do not include 5% GST Tax
