Island Coastal Aviation Inc. is a flight training, charter and scenic tour business at the Pitt Meadows Airport. It was established by General Manager Tom Drybrough in 2007.

Tom received his Pilot’s License in 1978 from Bob Gilmour of Meadows Aero in Pitt Meadows, BC, flying the famous “bush pilot” trainer, the “Fleet Canuck”. Since then, he has acquired several thousand hours flying both airplanes and helicopters as an Operations Manager, Chief Pilot, Charter Pilot, Instructor, Float Pilot, Mountain, Bush and Float Instructor.

Cristian Sepulveda

Assistant CFI
Flight Instructor

Originally from Chile. Cristian has spent most of his life abroad. He completed his high school in 2007 in Scotland, graduated from Edinburgh Napier University in 2011, with honours, earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology.


In 2012, Cristian started pursuing his dream of becoming a Pilot, obtaining his Private Pilot Licence in early 2013 in Chile. That same year Cristian moved to Canada looking for new challenges and start a career in aviation. In 2014 he completed his Commercial Pilot Licence at Island Coastal Aviation and shortly after started Island Coastal Aviation Flight Instructor course, graduating in early 2015 and started working the very next day.

Saurabh Singh

Flight Instructor

Originally from India. Saurabh Singh has been in Aviation Industry for past 10 years. He started his journey in aviation with CAE Global Academy in AZ, USA back in 2007; where he got his Private Pilot License (PPL), Commercial Pilot License (CPL), Multi Engine Rating and Instrument Rating.

He decided to come to Canada and do the Flight Instructor Rating in 2012. He started instructing in 2013 and never looked back ever since.

He has over 1,750 hours and yet he gets excited every time he goes up for a flight. His ambitions are to keep flying fun and be remembered as a great instructor. He keeps himself busy with Administrative work when he is not with students, as he is our CFI
